"More like you came to us." Edge rubbd the back of his neck and scanned the street.

"I'd love to stay and chat but we've got to find somewhere to get out of sight. Being in the open near a bloody convention center is kinda like a neon sign above our heads that says 'Eat at Joe's'."

He walked towards Kaleth. "Got any weapons that you could use repeatedly without worrying about ammunition?"

" no problem." Jeremy said smiling. " Jeremy smith, last known suvivor of the smith family." he said sticking out his hand

"Alright, do you guys have cell phones? My buddy hacked into Sprint's satelite right before he got zombified. Now worldwide everyone has a connection if you have the password to their site." Edge took a pice of paper and his ballpoint pen from his pocket and wrote something on it, tore it in two and handed it to Jeremy and Kaleth.

"I need to get to my appartment to access my computer and grap my other sword. You can tag along if you want." With that, Edge walked across the street and climbed a fire escape ladder to the top of a nearby building.

Kaleth sighed and shook the hand. He then pulled a double edged broadsword off his back and nodded.

"Yeah, I heard they're evacuating from Mercy Hospital. But to get there we have to go through the sewers."

" fun " jeremy said. he figurd that the sewers would be crawling with zombies "any other way to the hospital." he asked. " what about the back road that passes the abandoned elementary school?"

"Mercy Hospital?" Edge inquired from the top of the rooftop. "That's right by my house, even better, I see a manhole on the street on the opposite side of this building."

"I don't think it'd be very smart to go down through that manhole boy" a voice commented toward him, "The things littered with zombies.. plus it wreaks to high heaven"

Unknown to the three survivors, a woman was standing just around the corner from the three and had heard their conversation. A cigarette was propped against her chapped bloody lips, her clothes torn up from the battle to survive the streets, and her mid length hair clotted with old blood. She didn't look the prettiest, but she was tough and at that point, that was all that truly mattered.

"I'm just giving you fair warning, but if you want to brave the sh!t storm.. be my guest."

"Brave, I can do, but I'm seventeen, so I can drive. I'm not that young, am I?. . ." Edge looked over at the woman who adressed him.

"I take it you smoke a lot, but since you have that occupation, I'm surprised your teeth are whiter than what I expected." He looked down on her for a few moments. "I'm not one to judge but, either you're emo or you fought a ton of infected, eh?"

" i'd listen to this woman if i were you" jeremy said. " i've been down there and it's not pretty"

"Nothing that a Home Ecc prodigy can't fix." Edge pumped his fist and turned around.

"Kal said the sewers, so the sewers we go. Unless, there's a better way. . . I didn't get this surgery for nothin'.

" like i said, theres the back road past the school. it will take us a little longer but it will be less dangerous than the sewers" jeremy said

The woman watched Edge and laughed a bit to herself, "Do what you like.. Just hope your toy sword won't break and leave you for food" she told him. Pulling out her lighter she lit the cigarette and took a small drag. She picked up the metal bat that was leaning against the building, propping it up on her shoulder, "I'm not going to save you"

Edge rotated his neck in the woman's direction. "I don't use this. Use brings about wea, tear and rust. Now that's a real waste." He walked to the opposite end of the rooftop and jumped down.

"Let's get moving. Hey, you, smokey woman. You coming, or just gonna play tough chick and talk to us?"

She gave him a grin and tilted her head slightly, "I'll join you when you've finished playing fantasy land" she told him. Turning her back to the group of boys she waved over her shoulder, but as she passed a car she hit it with her bat causing the alarm to go off. Afterward she quickly turned and ducked into a small building, knowing what was in store for the three of them.

The moment the alarm went off screams started to resonate through the streets and alleys around then as a horde of infected came their way.

"It's called Midgar, lady!" Edge yelled into the air. "I'm a hardcore addict, I even got surgery in Russia to get titanium bones and the strength of a SOLDIER!" He threw a rock at the hemorhaging car, ignoring the zombies coming out of buildings.

"It's a real sword too, 37 pounds. . . made in Japan. . . got the facial surgery there too. . ." He looked up for a second to notice a party of freaks coming towards the trio.

"So. . . uh, I bet I can kill more of them than you guys can!" He started running towards the zombies.
